Did you know that Darren Simpson, who is the host of the 94.7 Breakfast Xpress, voices a character Planes 2: Fire and Rescue in 3D? Well now you do! Darren is the voice of ‘Drip’, one of five firefighters called The Smokejumpers, in what is the most anticipated sequel ever (at least in my household of three boys under the age of 7)!
If you’re wondering what to do to keep the kids busy on next week’s public holiday (Heritage Day – 24 September), you can take them along to one of these Ster-Kinekor cinemas for a pre-screening of Planes 2: Fire and Rescue in 3D:
- The Zone, Carnival City and Cradlestone in Johannesburg
- Brooklyn Mall and Forest Hill in Pretoria
- Gateway in Durban
- Blue Route and Cavendish in Cape Town
Planes 2: Fire and Rescue in 3D is being screened at all show times for the public holiday.
Before or after watching the movie, there are activities for the kids at these cinemas, including games and colouring-in activity sheets, as well as Planes 2: Fire & Rescue merchandise and prize hampers up for grabs.
Here’s the extended trailer for Planes 2: Fire & Rescue.
If you can’t make it on the 24th, Planes 2: Fire & Rescue is officially being released on Friday 26 September. (And because parents like to know these things – it has a running time of 1hr 24mins.)
