Let’s Cross That Word!

The educational benefits of using puzzles and games are well documented, so I’m not about to bore you with that information all over again. I found this one on iTunes, and it provides picture clues to players, with letters scattered everywhere so your kid needs to drag the letter to its correct place. Interactive and pretty easy to master, this app is cool for kids between the ages of 4 and 8. Oh, and it’s free! Download Crossword Game for Kids here.

You can upgrade to the paid version for this one, but I enjoyed the free version too. Players can tap on the pictures for word hints; enjoy the annoying sound effects and level up to learning synonyms too. Check it out on iTunes here.

This one can get quite complex, but it’s packed with a huge range of crossword puzzles, with new ones added all the time. There’s also a nifty “reveal letter” button and a “reveal word” facility. Pick it up from the Google Play Store here.
