Suzelle DIY and Nal’ibali join forces for Literacy and Heritage Month!

The Nal’ibali reading-for-enjoyment campaign believes that both literacy development and the celebration of heritage can be combined into one powerful activity: storytelling.

That’s why Nal’ibali launched Story Bosso – the national storytelling talent search, aimed at reawakening a love of storytelling among everyone in South Africa! It is through telling and sharing stories – stories you grew up with, in your own language – that we’re able to celebrate our cultures and grow a love of stories and reading in children! In 2015, the Story Bosso winner was an adorable seven-year-old girl named Athandiwe Sikade – proving that anyone can be a Story Bosso, no matter how young or old.

To inspire adults across South Africa to get storytelling with their children, Nal’ibali joined forces with Suzelle DIY to talk about how you can be a storyteller – as well as how to help your child become a published author by winning Story Bosso!

Take a look at ‘How to become a Story Bosso’ with Suzelle and Nal’ibali to stand a chance to have your story published as a book, as well as the chance to win cash prizes AND books!

What’s more, you’ll be crowned South Africa’s 2016 Story Bosso. So come on parents , teachers, caregivers and ALL adults – inspire your little ones to get storytelling. You can submit as many entries as you like right here!
