YouTube Channels for Parents

Nowadays, if you want to learn how to do something, you’ll probably find a nifty tutorial on it posted to YouTube. Step-by-step tutorials on just about everything from origami to rewiring your car (and everything inbetween!) are posted online, so YouTube really isn’t just for music videos anymore.

But if there’s one thing there’s probably not an all-encompassing, life hackesque, tutorial on, it’s parenting. Luckily for us though, there exists a range of great YouTube channels devoted to helping us tackle the difficult (and sometimes funny) stuff of parenting. Here are our favourite three:

HowCast
HowCast is a diverse channel, covering everything instructional from nutrition, technology and parenting. It’s the ultimate collection of How To guides, with an extra twist of fun thrown in. Their parenting instructional videos are helpful, informative and sometimes funny. HowCast interviews experts on topics, to create useful videos. We loved these ones:

Millennial Parents
This one is included purely for the funny stuff. Short webisodes follow the story of a couple as they tackle the hard stuff of parenting life – from trying to be trendy to fit in with their new neighbours to being real about parenting.

 

Channel Mum
Mmm, parenting channels shouldn’t just be for mums, but we can forgive that for a moment. Channel Mum includes honest conversations, how to videos (including some craft activities!) and homemaking tips and tricks.
